Job Description
Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Roaster Operator to join the Process Operations team.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Roaster Operations Supervisor, the Roaster Operator is responsible for the following;
  • Inspect start and stop conveyors, all scrubbers, air slides, bucket elevators, associated blowers, feeders, and fans for the operation of the Roaster
  • Check feed production samples for required size and inspect lube systems and grates
  • Control addition of reagents, percent solids, and pH
  • Operate thickener, and monitor floc and coagulant usage
  • Troubleshoot and clean scale buildup in launders and pipes
  • Monitor temperature and chemistry of cooling tower
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Roaster experience preferred
  • Proven safety and attendance record required
  • High-pressure, high-temperature experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with peers in a team environment required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required

The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
