Job description

Pelletizer Operator – Night Shift
Want to work 14-15 days a month and get paid for the full month? Want every other weekend off? And know your schedule for the entire year! How about medical insurance that is paid for 100% by the company.
East Jordan Plastics, Inc. is looking for dedicated, hardworking people to join our team! We are currently hiring for Pelletizer/Extruder Operator – Night Shift. This position involves the safe operations of machines, inspection of plastic horticultural material. We offer paid training, consistent schedules, great benefits and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain material flow to the machine
  • Maintain extruder conditions, cleanliness, and safety features
  • Maintain material batch planning laid out by molding manager
  • Track and report out on daily production counts, safety concerns, and maintenance concerns to molding manger
  • Retrieve and move material from staging, to production, to finished goods
  • Effectively hand off operations to the next shift operator

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Work in a safe and effective manner
  • Operate forklift/HiLo
  • Ability to understand machine functions and material flow
  • Attention to detail, critical thinker
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to bend, twist, climb, stand and lift items up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts 2/2/3 schedule

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in the plastics industry
  • Thin wall, high speed injection molding experience (Preferred, not required)
  • Knowledge of the molding process, molding equipment, molding materials, and mold tooling
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening and authorized to work in the United States
