SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the Group Lead, perform the duties assigned will involve operating the pultrusion machines, inspecting rod bodies, packing rods, and moving rods to assembly department and dealing with scrap rod bodies. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Operate the Pultrusion Machines.
  • Maintain visual contact with machine.
  • Continuously monitoring the quality of the process.
  • Fill out documents and reports as instructed.
  • Inspect the rod bodies
  • Thoroughly go over rod bodies looking for defects.
  • Place good rod bodies in crate and place scrap rod bodies in scrap location.
  • Fill our documents and reports as instructed.
  • Packing rods and moving rods to assembly.
  • Dealing with scrap rod bodies.
  • When time permits make pony rods out of specified scrap rods.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Follow all policies and procedures communicated by Endurance Lift Solutions.
  • Accomplish all the above task keeping safety and housekeeping a priority.
  • Attend Basic Safety Training and exhibit behavior consistent with training.
  • Attend Safety Meetings and exhibit behavior consistent with safety culture.
  • Attend Basic course on Waste Elimination and 6S, exhibit knowledge obtained in training.
  • Employee will be assigned other duties as needed.

Requirements

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company's TRIR goals.
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company's environmental performance goals.
  • Complete, and actively participate in all the company's Safety Skills training requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence as required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a Pultrusion Operator I position and has shown proven mastery of all tasks associated with the Pultrusion Operator I.
  • A combination of the above qualifications may also be considered

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a shop or warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment is typically considered within an ELS location during normal or extended business hours. Work environment may also include customer sites including oil well sites, and meeting venues.
