WHAT WE OFFER
The Specialty Films site in North America is seeking a Regrind Operator Trainee to support the production of its polyurethane and polycarbonate films. This position is responsible for recycling scrap products in order to help ensure the entire operation is producing quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polycarbonate (PC) film & sheet. The starting pay for this role is $21.63/hr.
This is a full time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).
Major Tasks:
  • Operate batch and continuous re-processors to physically produce quality regrind materials from scrap film in a timely manner.
  • Document scrap/regrind inventory in order to ensure the entire Production & Materials Management Departments have the most up-to-date information about regrind levels.
  • Produce quality materials that will be distributed to a vast array of customers.
  • Complete orders in an accurate manner to help certify high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain production volume and efficiency through this physically demanding process.
  • Perform other reclaim operations (such as peel back of aliphatic film to remove interleaf, cut scrap rolls of film on guillotine) before film can be reprocessed.
  • Assist with cleaning of hoppers, blenders and metering systems, cutting over rolls, using a hoist to remove rolls from the winder, packaging onto skids and wrapping skids for storage into inventory.
  • Assist Production Line Operators with ancillary functions when grinding is not required.

WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in TPU reprocessing

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Able to comprehend written and verbal instruction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be willing to work a 12 hour shift; Positions are available on day shift (7am-7pm)
  • Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50lbs of weight, climb stairs, lift and pull 10lbs of weight in the overhead position, work in ambient room temperature of 100 degrees, and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
