Job description

Summary
Ironwear is an established and growing safety solution provider. For over 30 years we have manufactured, developed, and reengineered Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all industrial markets around the globe. The screen print operator is responsible for decorating any items that need applied heat transfers, screen printing, or pad printing. This position includes ensuring print jobs are held to the highest quality standards. At times, this position includes taking part in extra tasks as needed.
This position works Monday - Friday
Location: 359-C, Old Underwood Rd, La Porte, TX
Responsibilities
  • Fulfilling customized orders including screen printing, heat transfers, and pad printing in a timely manner
  • Operating printing equipment safely and proficiently
  • Follow work orders meticulously and complete tasks within specified timelines
  • Setup and register multi-color jobs including 4-color process, simulated process, etc.
  • Align multi-color jobs with micro-adjustments swiftly and accurately
  • Maintaining proper cleanliness and maintenance of equipment
  • Collaborate with support staff to create an optimized and productive work environment
  • Prepare ink mixing as required for print jobs
  • Carefully match paperwork (art/work orders/pick tickets) to production screens & garments with great attention to detail
  • Meet established production guidelines for output and adhere to ship date compliance
  • Perform quality control checks on printed garments to ensure they meet Style Guide Standards & Production Work Orders

Education and Experience:
  • 2 years' experience working with screen printing presses, pad printing, and heat transfer equipment
  • Knowledge of all aspects of production: setting up/breaking down jobs, burning screens, reclaiming screens, mixing inks, etc.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to endure exposure to prolonged heat
  • Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Endurance to stand/walk for extended periods
