About this Role
Introduce new workers to the company through an orientation process. HR Onboarding Specialist will communicate company and position details to new hires before their start date, gathering necessary paperwork and scheduling first days.
Ultimately, will organize and facilitate company's onboarding procedures for new hires.
What You'll Do
  • Detailing all new hires' initial tasks and answering any queries
  • Coordinate with IT to set-up new employees with computers, phones, etc.
  • Familiar with Driver File records and NECS management system
  • Gather Personal information from Employee to set-up Drug Screen and MVR
  • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files
  • Maintain orientation materials and supplies
  • Gather Personal information from Employee to set-up Drug Screen and MVR
  • Craft and send comprehensive emails with information about the New Employee Orientation
  • Prepare onboarding Packets (e.g. New Hire Paperwork, Hats, Tests)
  • Scheduling start dates for new hires, and gathering necessary paperwork
  • Process onboarding paperwork (e.g. I9, W4, Direct Deposit forms)
  • Inform employees on their first tasks (e.g. DOT paperwork, Quanta Legal Online Training, FMCSA Clearinghouse Registration)
  • Distribute manuals, passwords and guidelines as needed

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in Word, Excel, HRIS database, and other applicable database programs helpful
  • Knowledge of Company policies/procedures & or the ability & willingness to learn
  • Effectively communicate with people
  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
  • Proven work experience as an HR Onboarding Specialist or in relevant HR role
  • Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience as an onboarding specialist or in a similar HR role
  • Good working knowledge of HR practices
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
