Job description

PT Inserter-$1,500 Hiring Bonus

The Rapid City Journal is seeking a dependable part-time packaging inserter to join the team due to expansion of the products we print. This position works M, W, and F from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to Noon.

Duties include: 

  • operating inserting machine
  • feeding pre-prints into insert machine hoppers
  • verifying counts of papers
  • labeling and topping of bundles
  • bundling and shipping papers and pre-prints
  • operate a hydraulic pallet jack and powered strapping equipment
  • clean the work area as needed
  • other duties as assigned including janitorial duties

The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, demonstrate a positive attendance record, and have the ability to work rotating evenings, nights, and weekends.
