As a Technical Marketing Engineer at NetApp, you will facilitate technical marketing end-to-end for one or more assigned technology areas within the NetApp portfolio. You will do so working side-by-side with Product Marketers, Solution Marketers, and our Competitive Intelligence team as part of the Integrated Product & Platform Marketing (IPPM) team at NetApp, and in partnership with Product Managers and Engineers in one or more NetApp business units that also report to our Chief Product Officer.
This specific role is focused on improving the connection from the TME team and broader Product organization to our community of customers, partners, and prospective customers. You will work in a cross-functional team to develop the NetApp presence on appropriate technical communities (example: Reddit), develop NetApp communities on external platforms (example: NetApp Discord server); and accelerate the ability for TME content to reach the broader technical community through channels like YouTube, LinkedIn, and beyond, in coordination with our social media team.
In doing so, you will help produce regular podcasts/webcasts, as well as acting as a producer for recorded technical videos. You will help grow our library of integrated solution demos using the latest AI-enabled demo creation tools, and partner with other NetApp teams to build an integrated technology stack to make appropriate demos easily findable and usable by our sales teams, partners, and end-customers. All of these activities must collect meaningful engagement metrics and you will own a plan to continue growing that engagement.
The best TMEs are also highly visible within NetApp and the industry. You may represent NetApp and your assigned technologies at conferences, in webinars, in videos/podcasts, and on social media as a trusted technical subject matter expert. As your work will expose you to our sales organization and customers, you will help translate input from those audiences into insights to provide to Product Management.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master's degree is a plus.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $135,000-155,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
