As part of NetApp, we are rapidly scaling our sales efforts, leveraging NetApp's install base while engaging new buyer personas. We are looking for a high-impact Instaclustr Sales Specialist to drive growth through direct customer engagement, partner collaboration, and close alignment with NetApp's hybrid teams.
As a Strategic Product Group Rep, you will own and drive sales engagements with enterprise and mid-market customers, working closely with NetApp account teams and partners to accelerate the adoption of Instaclustr's open-source solutions. This is a highly strategic role that requires strong customer-facing skills, cloud consumption expertise, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Sales Execution

  • Drive new business and expansion opportunities for Instaclustr's fully managed database and solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to closing, with a focus on open-source database adoption and data infrastructure modernization.
  • Build Territory and Account Plans to Hunt and drive high touch outreach to top tier accounts and scale with broader territory.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of open-source technologies, managed services, and migration strategies to drive pipeline growth.
  • Work closely with NetApp's account teams to co-sell Instaclustr solutions into NetApp's existing customer base.

Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies with NetApp channel partners, VARs, and cloud providers to accelerate customer adoption.
  • Enable partners on Instaclustr's value proposition and help them position open-source database and streaming solutions in their customer engagements.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers within NetApp, partners, and customers to expand market reach.

 
Cross-Functional Collaboration with NetApp

  • Align with NetApp's field sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated sales motions.
  • Provide feedback to NetApp's leadership and Instaclustr's product teams on customer needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Participate in joint sales planning, pipeline reviews, and customer strategy discussions with NetApp's regional teams.

 

Education
  • 12+ years of field sales, enterprise sales, or solutions selling experience in cloud, data infrastructure, or open-source technologies.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Experience working with technology partners, VARs, and channel ecosystems to drive co-selling motions.
  • Strong understanding of open-source databases (PostgreSQL, Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, and OpenSearch and other relevant database technologies ) and the challenges enterprises face with data-layer modernization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Self-motivated, highly collaborative, and comfortable working across a global matrixed organization.

The target salary range for this position is 325,550 - 421,300 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
