Job description

Job Summary

At NetApp, we believe data is the currency of innovation. Within our Strategics Sales Organization, we partner with the world's most influential enterprises to power how digital content is created, distributed, secured, and monetized at global scale.

We are seeking a Global Client Executive (GCE) to lead one of NetApp's most visible and demanding Media & Entertainment relationships. This role is intended for a senior sales leader who can reset trajectory, elevate executive engagement, and drive material change across a highly complex, multibusiness enterprise.

This is not a maintenance role. It is a leadership assignment.

If you are energized by ambiguity, accountability, and the opportunity to build momentum where it matters most, we encourage you to apply.

Location: Remote (Preferred: Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA)

Your Impact

As a Global Client Executive, you will be the Account Owner for a large, globally distributed Media & Entertainment enterprise with multiple business units, buying centers, platforms, and decision-makers. You will be accountable for reestablishing strategic relevance, sharpening NetApp's value narrative, and executing a multiyear growth strategy that materially expands our footprint and influence.

You will be expected to assess what is working, confront what is not, and drive a stepchange in execution, engagement, and outcomes, both internally and with the customer.

This role requires executive courage, operational rigor, and the ability to lead through complexity without waiting for perfect clarity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the executive sponsor and primary point of accountability for a large, diversified Media & Entertainment enterprise.
  • Define and execute a clear, opinionated multiyear account strategy that prioritizes the right businesses, workloads, and growth vectors.
  • Lead a crossfunctional virtual account team with high standards for execution, transparency, and followthrough.
  • Elevate and expand executivelevel relationships, creating access, credibility, and trust across business, technology, and operations leadership.
  • Navigate fragmented buying centers and competing priorities to drive alignment and decision velocity.
  • Identify and convert stalled, underpenetrated, or adjacent opportunities into material netnew growth.
  • Advocate forcefully for the customer inside NetApp, influencing investment decisions, roadmap alignment, and executive engagement.
  • Establish a strong operating cadence focused on outcomes, value realization, and accountability.
  • Model NetApp's values of ownership, growth mindset, customer centricity, belonging, and high performance-especially when pressure is highest.

Requirements & Education

What We're Looking For

This role is best suited for a changeoriented sales leader who has operated successfully in highstakes, highvisibility environments.

  • 12 + years of proven track record leading large, complex global enterprise accounts through inflection points or transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo, reset expectations, and drive execution in matrixed organizations.
  • Strong business acumen and credibility within Media & Entertainment, including streaming, broadcast, studios, content operations, and platform ecosystems.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders through clarity, insight, and decisiveness.
  • Experience leading crossfunctional teams without direct authority-and holding them accountable to results.
  • A growth mindset paired with intellectual honesty and resilience.
  • Commitment to inclusive leadership, collaboration, and cultural stewardship.
  • Working knowledge of cloud, data infrastructure, and enterprise technology platforms.

Why NetApp:

NetApp's sales organization exists to take on the hardest problems where complexity, scale, and expectations are high.

You will be given real ownership, executive air cover, and the mandate to lead change. Success in this role is visible, meaningful, and careerdefining.

Ready to Lead:

If you are motivated by accountability, energized by complexity, and ready to make a measurable impact in a globally significant Media & Entertainment environment, we invite you to apply.

This role is for leaders who take ownership, move the needle, and leave things better than they found them.

The target salary range for this position is USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
