Job description

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Cloud Marketing (SMCM) is the global marketing business owner for NetApp's premier partnerships with the hyperscalers. This role manages marketing's full contribution to the growth of NetApp's firstparty and thirdparty services.

The SMCM owns the marketing strategy and investment mix in partnership with marketing stakeholders at the hyperscalers, and serves as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders inside and outside NetApp. The SMCM ensures that marketing contributes to pipeline, revenue, and engagement targets as defined by NetApp's Tier 1 hyperscaler KPIs.

This is a hybrid role requiring in office expectations of 3 days per week. We are looking for candidates in: Bellevue, WA Office, Boulder, CO, RTP, North Carolina, and San Jose, CA. 

Job Requirements

Strategy & Planning

  • Jointly own the hyperscaler marketing strategy, investment mix, and annual/quarterly plan with our partner's marketing team.
  • Align all marketing activities to the joint business plan with the hyperscalers for firstparty and thirdparty services.
  • Determine budget allocation and investment prioritization across demand generation, partnerled initiatives, and ecosystem activities.
  • Marketing partnership development to open up new co-marketing opportunities with the partners.

Stakeholder & Relationship Leadership

  • Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for GTM leadership, alliance leaders, sales ops, sales specialists, CSAs, and CSM managers.
  • Represent NetApp Marketing in all executive, senior executive, and operatinglevel Cloud business reviews.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to NetApp corporate, field, and partner marketing teams.
  • Manage ongoing communications and maintain regular operating cadences with crossfunctional stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Eventually, lead the hyperscaler marketing team (Cloud Marketing Strategist, Cloud Campaign Operations Manager, Cloud Alliance Marketing Manager, and future marketing roles.
  • Own team priorities, deliverables, success metrics, hiring recommendations, and professional development.
  • Manage Cloud Marketing team operations, including meeting cadences, internal communications, and stakeholder alignment.

Program Governance & Executive Reporting

  • Report on marketing's contribution to hyperscaler revenue, pipeline, partner engagement, and program performance using NetApp's Tier 1 KPIs.
  • Support the Director of Hyperscaler Marketing with executive briefings and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure all partner programs meet contractual requirements and deliver measurable ROI.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

Work closely with:

  • Hyperscaler Partner Marketing, Partnership Development, and Product Group
  • Marketing centers of excellence (digital, events, paid media, content, MRA)
  • NetApp sales, alliance, and field marketing teams
  • Operations and finance teams for budget, tracking, and compliance

And collaborate to:

  • Execute co-marketing programs
  • Optimize campaign performance
  • Track KPIs and report impact
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to advance hyperscaler strategy

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 170,000 - 235,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
