Job description

About Rx Technology
Rx Technology is a San Antonio-based managed IT and low-voltage systems integration firm serving municipal, federal/DoD, education, healthcare, financial services, and commercial clients. We are a certified women- and minority-owned business built on a simple standard: we get it right the first time, so clients call us first the next time. This role sits on our IT/managed services sales desk and is central to how fast and how cleanly we turn opportunities into accurate, registered, profitable quotes.
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative - Managed IT is a quoting and sales-support role, not a closer. You are the engine behind our IT account managers and VP of Sales: building high-volume, accurate quotes; running Cisco, Lenovo, Fortinet and HPE deal registration to protect our margin; and keeping every opportunity clean in ConnectWise. You will work distributor portals daily, catch pricing and licensing errors before they reach a client, and keep deals moving through the pipeline without losing the small details that cost us money.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce a high volume of accurate quotes for managed IT, hardware, software, and licensing opportunities, meeting internal turnaround expectations.
• Own Cisco and HPE deal registration end-to-end - including Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW), MSP/managed-service deal tagging, and HPE partner-portal registration - to secure best pricing and protect registered margin.
• Source pricing through distributors (Technology Distributors and manufacturers) and OEM portals; verify SKUs, configurations, and licensing models.
• Maintain the pipeline in ConnectWise - build and update opportunities, quotes, activities, and forecast data so it stays accurate and current.
• Coordinate across teams - work with account managers, pre-sales/engineering, procurement, and operations to assemble complete bills of materials and proposals.
• Track and follow up on quote status and open opportunities; process orders accurately once approved.
• Stay current on OEM programs, promotions, and certification requirements for Cisco, APC/Eaton, HPE, HP, and managed-services product lines.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years in an inside sales representative (ISR) or sales-support role, preferably in an MSP, VAR, or technology-reseller environment.
• Working knowledge of Cisco and HPE deal registration (CCW, MSP deal tagging, HPE partner portal).
• Proven ability to produce a high volume of accurate quotes under deadline.
• Hands-on experience with ConnectWise (Manage and/or Sell/CPQ) or a comparable PSA/CRM.
• Strong written and verbal communication - able to translate technical configurations into clear, customer-facing quotes.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a genuine team player who collaborates across sales, engineering, and operations.
Preferred Qualifications (a plus)
• Direct managed IT / MSP sales-support experience.
• Familiarity with distributor portals (Ingram Micro, TD Synnex) and OEM quoting tools.
• Existing OEM sales or technical certifications (see below).
Certifications
Relevant certifications are preferred at hire and required within 6 months of start. At minimum, the following will be expected: [specify - e.g., Cisco Sales Expert / Black Belt, Cisco Meraki CMNA, HPE Sales Certification, and/or ConnectWise certification]. Rx Technology supports the cost and time to complete required certifications.
Success:
• Quoting accurately and within turnaround targets with minimal rework.
• Registering eligible Cisco and HPE deals correctly, every time.
• Maintaining clean, current opportunity and forecast data in ConnectWise.
• Completing required certifications.
• Career path to AM role
