Job description

Apex Digital Solutions is a leading Microsoft Modern Work partner and trusted IT Managed Services Provider (MSP), helping organizations transform how they work through cloud collaboration, security, and productivity solutions.
The Project Manager ensures our projects are delivered with the highest level of customer satisfaction. They will work with our delivery resources and the client to achieve the desired project outcomes and end goals.  The Project Manager will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and can balance flexibility and creativity with the discipline needed to manage and control project risks. 
This is a part-time, independent contractor position for project-based work. The position is likely to average 5-20 hours per week but there is no minimum number of hours guaranteed by Apex Digital.
Key Responsibilities
  • Flexibility in various project management methodologies with the ability to adjust the management style from lite coordination to more complex engagements.
  • Create strong relationships with all levels of our business.  
  • Provide timely communication to project stakeholders, and our internal team through the lifecycle of the engagement. This is done through regularly scheduled status meetings, updated project plans, reporting, etc.
  • Work with the stakeholder to ensure that we are focused on the client’s outcomes by solving the problem and not just trying to deliver a solution. 
  • Looking for additional client opportunities throughout the engagement and reporting them back to the Customer Success Team.
  • Identifying potential risks, roadblocks, and changes in the original scope of work. Ensuring that these are documented and managed effectively.
  • Contributing to continual process improvement within our projects and overall program. Creating and updating process documentation as needed
  • Tracking the customer journey from project kick-off through completion. Ensure that the projects are hitting their milestones on time and on budget.
  • Provide weekly reports on project status to management including project percent complete and any potential project risks that would cause project delays and adjustments to billing milestones.
  • Enter time daily in our management system and approve project time on a weekly basis

  • Managing the project delivery team ensuring projects are completed on time and at our target gross margin

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in project coordination/project management on IT-related projects 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, OneNote, and Excel
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, PMBOK or Agile PM, PMP not necessary.
