Merchandise Manager
Position Overview
The Ice Flyers are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and revenue-driven Merchandise Manager to oversee all merchandise operations, inventory systems, online sales fulfillment, fundraising support, and merchandise-related event coordination.
This role is responsible for managing the organization's merchandise department across arena retail operations, Shopify fulfillment, specialty merchandise programs, fundraising support, promotional merchandise planning, and event coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced sports environment, can manage multiple operational systems simultaneously, and takes pride in building a professional, organized, and fan-focused merchandise operation.
The Merchandise Manager plays a major role in driving fan engagement, merchandise revenue, operational efficiency, and brand visibility for the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day merchandise operations across arena retail, online sales, specialty inventory, and game-day operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory systems, audits, reporting, product organization, and merchandise storage standards
  • Manage Shopify storefront operations including online fulfillment, promotions, customer service, and product launches
  • Coordinate merchandise ordering, vendor communication, artwork approvals, product development, and inventory replenishment
  • Develop revenue-generating merchandise strategies including promotions, limited drops, seasonal campaigns, and specialty collections
  • Analyze sales trends, pricing strategies, inventory performance, and merchandising opportunities to maximize revenue
  • Coordinate merchandise support for events, sponsor activations, appearances, auctions, raffles, and fundraising initiatives
  • Manage specialty merchandise and collectible inventory including signed memorabilia, specialty jerseys, and limited-edition products
  • Support game-day merchandise operations, fulfillment logistics, and promotional activations during events
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation, spreadsheets, invoices, operational records, and merchandise reporting systems
  • Assist leadership with merchandise planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational strategy
  • Maintain professional department standards while ensuring merchandise areas remain organized, efficient, and fan-focused

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability

  • Experience with inventory systems, retail operations, or merchandise management preferred
