Job description

The Group Merchandise Coordinator manages merchandise logistics for group events. They are responsible for contacting Group Sales and Buddy Group leads to initiate merchandise planning. They coordinate with vendors to place group-specific orders. This role is responsible for creating and distributing merchandise catalogs for group selection, and oversee merchandise delivery and distribution. This role also supports the retail operation through shop shifts and guest interaction on property.


Essential Functions:

Group Merchandise 

Proactively contact Group Sales and Buddy Golf Group leads to promote merchandise sales, club and shoe fittings, custom stampings, and specialized gifting for group events and trips. 

Creation and management of Group Merchandise Catalog keeping it fresh and up to date Encourage the purchase of merchandise and gift cards for attendee incentives and gifts. 

Coordinate with vendors to source and manage merchandise for group events. Shop and Retail Shift Duties Fulfill online store orders and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner.

Tag, fold, stock, refill, and organize merchandise to maintain a clean and well-stocked retail space.

The Group Merchandise Coordinator is expected to work in the retail shop up to five days a week, balancing in-store duties with group merchandise coordination tasks. 

Keep up to date on The Nest and The Chain Inventory and request reorders from the Retail Manager or the Director of Retail Responsible for maintaining and tracking promotional and uniform order forms across the entire resort, including charging appropriate departments and ensuring accurate inventory and documentation.


Knowledge and Skills:
Education: high school preferred
Experience: 1-year experience in golf shop and/or customer service/retail sales environment preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Maintains a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and polished appearance at all times
