Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Physician Services Labor Management Manager assists in the planning and execution of labor and productivity initiatives across the PHY service line. This role manages day‑to‑day productivity monitoring, ensures accurate use of standard tools, and partners with facility and division leaders to meet established productivity targets. The Manager identifies operational opportunities, develops practical recommendations, and communicates findings to leadership in a timely and clear manner. The position plays a key role in supporting annual labor budgeting, maintaining adherence to corporate policies, optimizing staffing resources, and promoting collaboration across departments. The Manager helps drive continuous improvement efforts and supports high levels of satisfaction among internal partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies productivity improvement opportunities and recommends actionable solutions to Corporate, Division, and facility leadership teams.
  • Guides the effective use of labor/productivity systems and web‑based applications to ensure accurate collection and reporting of statistical values tied to labor cost management.
  • Supports Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual strategic planning sessions by contributing data, insights, and recommendations that help set operational priorities and cost‑saving targets.
  • Leads and participates in the integration of Physician Services departments into PLUS-related systems (Kronos, GHR, QMIRS, etc.), ensuring appropriate configuration and visibility.
  • Reviews and evaluates productivity across various skill mixes, including Medical Assistants, Clinicians, and Providers, and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Delivers training to leaders on PLUS, FPC, and other productivity tools, ensuring consistent understanding and utilization.
  • Monitors productivity performance using standard tools and software, escalating concerns and opportunities as appropriate.
  • Helps develop, support, and refine daily operations, policies, systems, and procedures to meet cost‑reduction and system‑utilization goals.
  • Participates in facility and division budget planning processes.
  • Prepares and provides monthly KPIs and quarterly scorecards for leadership review.
  • Assists with the development and training of staff by coordinating education programs and in‑service opportunities for Physician Services teams.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's degree Relative work experience may substitute for other degrees
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant work
