JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence. This person works closely with the Vice President of Business Development to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve the company’s growth goals.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

CPI Radant is the radome-and-composite‐structures division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI). We are formally known as CPI Radant Technologies Division, and we serve the aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial industries by designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting advanced composite radomes, reflectors and structural composite products.

Radomes are special “domes” made of composite materials that protect antennas and radar systems from the environment while allowing electromagnetic signals to pass. CPI Radant produces these for critical applications, meaning:

  • They enable secure communications and radar/electronic-warfare capabilities for military and commercial aerospace platforms.
  • Their manufacturing includes large apertures and high‐frequency performance.
  • Their advances in composite manufacturing and large structures feed into modern aircraft, satellites, naval vessels, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use various channels to generate new leads and opportunities that align to the CPI products.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and decision makers within the target industries.
  • Use competitive market intelligence to strategize business development plans.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to understand their pain points and position CPI products as solutions.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and market growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and opportunities using Saleforce software and effectively manage a pipeline of leads.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing innovative sales strategies, and closing deals to meet targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including sales, marketing, product development, and finance to ensure alignment and synergy in business development efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of product marketing materials
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue generated from qualified leads.

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
  • Strong connectivity to aerospace & defense industry partners.• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Moderate level of domestic and international travel required (up to 50%)
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
