Raleigh, NC | In-person, 5 days a week

The Role

MaintainX's pipeline runs through this team. You'll build and run it.

As Manager, Business Development, you'll hire, ramp, and develop a team of BDRs in our Raleigh office, owning the strategy and playbook that makes them productive. This role reports to the Director of Business Development.

  • Build and maintain a high-performing BDR team that consistently hits pipeline targets: own the hiring bar, the 90-day ramp, and individual performance accountability.

  • Drive predictable pipeline through a structured weekly coaching cadence and inspect behavior and root-cause misses before they become missed quarters.

  • Design and iterate the outbound playbook: ICP targeting, messaging, sequence strategy, and tech stack (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo).

  • Build individual development plans for each rep with a defined path toward AE or team leadership, and hold yourself accountable to those promotions happening.

  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to align on ICP evolution, campaign activation, and pipeline handoffs — and hold that alignment to outcomes.

At 12 months: your team is ramped, performing, and developing. Pipeline is predictable. Reps know exactly where they are going.

You Have

Must-haves

  • 1 to 3 years leading a BDR or SDR team at a SaaS or technology company, with documented attainment against team targets.

  • A repeatable hiring process for BDRs, you know what an A-player looks like at screen and can evaluate for it consistently.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach rep behavior and change output, not just report on it.

  • Data fluency: you pull your own reports, read pipeline signals before they become problems, and coach to leading indicators.

  • Experience holding cross-functional alignment with Marketing and Sales ops to pipeline outcomes, not just pipeline intent.

  • Comfort building process where little exists, you have written the playbook before.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, or operations buyer personas.

  • Familiarity with the CMMS or EAM software category.

We Offer

  • Competitive base and variable comp with meaningful equity in a post-Series D company

  • Day-1 benefits coverage health, dental, and vision (TriNet/BCBS)

  • 401(k) enrollment program

  • Unlimited PTO, and we take it

  • $500 home office stipend and $1K annual L&D budget

  • In-person hub in Raleigh with a team across North America

How We Work

We work in-person from our Raleigh office, 5 days/week. We reward output and promote quickly when people deliver. We hire for what you have built, not what your title was, and we have honest conversations early when the fit is not right.

This is an in-person role. We believe the BDR motion is built better together, especially in a team's first year. You bring the experience and the drive; we give you the platform, the brand, and the team to build something real.

Our mission is to deliver one platform for maintenance, repair & operations teams to keep the physical world running. We believe the greatest asset in any organization is the people. That’s why we built an intuitive, mobile-first solution to help boost productivity and collaboration across teams and locations.

MaintainX is committed to creating a diverse environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
