Job description

Responsible for ensuring program compliance for the 340B Discount Drug Program. Monitor compliance through daily and scheduled audits and review of replenishment medication orders. Requires the extensive detailed review of data and analysis to ensure compliance and to optimize program value with 340B regulations, policies and procedures. Audits will span across 340B mixed use settings, retail, and contract pharmacy arrangements. Works collaboratively with others to lead compliance and growth opportunities for the 340B Pharmacy program. Collaborates with finance to monitor and audit drug billing and reimbursement. .Ensures 340B program integrity, is responsible for oversight of all operations related to the 340B program including but not limited to project management, vendor management, revenue, and spend management.

Pay transparency:  St. Joseph's Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc." The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.


St. Joseph's University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures. 

The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women's health, imaging and pediatrics.

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Technology/Analytics, Public Health or closely related field and three to five years of previous work related experience. Extensive knowledge of 340B Drug Pricing Program and/or health care billing regulations and pharmacy purchasing experience required as is familiarity with pharmacy computer systems, pharmacy automation, pharmacy billing and 340B split billing software systems. 340B University Certificate preferred and must obtain the 340B Advanced Operations Certificate within 1 year of hire. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, specifically Outlook and Excel required.
