Crouse’s Risk Management team is hiring a Manager, 340B Program to overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization's 340B program. The 340B Program Manager serve as the primary program coordinator and liaison for 340B-related matters, ensuring compliance with program details, policies, and procedures.
Pay Range: $125,000 plus based on years of experience and education

Manager, 340B Program Responsibilities:
 

  • Ensures that policies and procedures are developed, implemented, and maintained according to organizational, regional, national, state, and federal requirements and guidelines.
  • Develops and provides ongoing training, education, and communication required for the 340B Program at the organization.
  • Regularly communicates with all staff involved with the 340B Program to be sure that processes remain efficient and to address any problems or suggestions for improvement.
  • Monitors and assesses 340B guidance and/or rule changes, including, but not limited to, HRSA/OPA rules and Medicaid changes. This includes industry publications and websites, literature, etc.  Attends regular 340B trainings and shares lessons and hot topics with staff.
  • Ensures that the 340B pharmacy program is continuously compliant with 340B federal regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the annual HRSA recertification is completed within the allowable time frame and that OPAIS is accurate for all organization entities.
  • Develops, executes, and documents internal and external audits in all aspects (including covered entity and covered patient eligibility) of the 340B process. Coordinates corrective action plans on findings as necessary.
  • Reviews and negotiates any new 340B contracts. Maintains all 340B contracts.
  • Works directly with manufacturers, as well as through GPO and peer professional relationships, to determine companies that are contracting with inpatient facilities to offer 340B or equivalent pricing and develops strategies to maximize such participation.
  • Assesses opportunities for cost savings and business improvements in 340B contract pharmacy utilization.
  • Coordinates financial reporting and analysis, including, but not limited to, metric reporting, scorecards, and variance analysis and reporting.
  • Works with pharmacy to monitors 340B pricing exclusions or shortages, establish appropriate alternative products, work with medical staff and formulary to ensure proper position and related use, manage and track inventory including proper replenishment, monitor product availability.
  • Works with the CDM Coordinator to review the CDM/crosswalk for new products and product changes, ensures both the accuracy of the utilization report and the efficiency and accuracy of the charge process.
  • Works with IT to Maintains 340B split-billing software integrity and reviews applicable reports to identify areas for improvement, assist in new software or changes to software, adds information from pharmacy charge master.

Manager, 340B Program Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in New York State.
  • A deep knowledge of 340B hospital pharmacy and progressively more responsible managerial skills that can be acquired by a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an institutional setting.
  • The ability to pay attention to detailed work and to keep neat and accurate records.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with health care professionals and hospital employees.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
