Job description

Railroad Management Information Systems Technician (RMIS Tech)

Transdev in the Miami, FL area is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Railroad Management Information Systems Technician (RMIS Tech) to join our team. The RMIS Tech issuesmaterials, equipment parts and consumable items to the Track, Signal and Facilities departments.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Competitive compensation package of minimum $19.00 ($39,520) – Maximum $22.00 ($45,760)

Benefits include:

  • Vacation: Two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 11 days; 7 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors inventory levels
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Assist in the coordination ofvehicle and equipment repairs and registrations
  • Receives deliveries and assists in unloading inventory from delivery trucks
  • Ensures parts and consumable storage areas are clean and well organized

Qualifications

  • High school diploma orequivalent required.
  • Prefer some College in computer systems
  • Prefer experience in inventory department.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis.
  • Capable of using computer inventory software
  • Works well with a team
  • Manages time efficiently
  • Must have excellent attendance
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed
  • outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible
  • sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to
  • 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable
  • amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
