Job description

Student Employee - HRIS Assistant

Position Summary:

This position will assist the Human Resource Information System Manager in maintaining accurate employee data, generating reports, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting HR process improvements within the Workday platform.

Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.

Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Tasks

  • Assist with data entry, management, and accuracy in Workday

  • Run and distribute payroll reports in Workday

  • Create instructional "how-to" documents for Workday tasks

  • Write and generate ad-hoc Workday reports

  • Troubleshoot basic Workday issues

  • Assist in analyzing HR data for trends and improvements

Duties

  • Assist with onboarding activities, such as processing new hire paperwork and providing system access instructions

  • Maintain confidentiality of HR records and issues

  • Participate in HR training sessions and team meetings

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee data

  • Maintain HR records in compliance with legal and organizational policies

  • Collaborate with HR team members on special projects or system enhancements

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and reliability in task completion and attendance
