Business Development Representative - AEC industry - Boston

Full-time Regular Boston, MA, US

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

Bala Consulting Engineers is a 200+ person consulting engineering firm with offices in Wayne, PA, New York, NY, Boston, MA, Baltimore, MD, and Arlington, VA.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, highly motivated Boston based Business Development professional to pursue opportunities, cultivate lasting relationships, and lead local business development initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Boston area business development responsibilities, leveraging existing client base while performing market research and outreach on new potential clients and opportunities.
  • This is a client‑facing role that requires both local office engagement and external client interaction. When not at client meetings or events, it will be beneficial for the employee to be collaborating with internal team members, learning and growing in Bala’s culture.
  • Work with Senior Leadership to define local business development strategies and goals.
  • Work with Senior Leadership and PMs to develop personalized annual business development plans.
  • Participate in industry events and organizations.
  • Secure meetings and opportunities with decision makers that purchase consulting engineering services, including architects, owners/end users and Owner’s Project Managers.
  • Collaborate with firm wide business development team on cross office connections, strategic growth markets, and pursuits.
  • Maintain CRM database (HubSpot).
  • Strategize and manage RFP responses.
  • Author/write proposals.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on marketing content creation, strategic market campaigns, and social media.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
  • Experience in the architectural, engineering, and construction industry preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of previous experience in a sales, business development, or marketing role.
