This Position reports to:

Robotics US Country Leader

Your Role and Responsibilities (Mandatory)

Based in our Auburn Hills, MI headquarters, the successful candidate will lead the Local Business Line (BL) Robotics Industries in the US and deliver superior customer experience with related profitable growth and an aligned strategy to the US Local Division and the Global Business Line Industries. This role is an integral part of both the global and US country success of the Robotics business. This is a P&L responsible role.

The successful candidate will establish and maintain a customer focused, quality and continuous improvement culture within the US business line. They will lead the overall US Robotics business line which includes commercial, operational and functional teams. This position is responsible for successful operation, oversight of financial performance and strategic execution of the business line strategy in the US. Main responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of the Local Business Line Industries and execute the strategy including agreed targets, taking overall P&L financial responsibility for the BL.
  • Develop and lead an energized and motivated team culture, driving superior customer experience
  • Ensure effective deployment of personnel to meet the business needs including commercial activities, business development, strategy and execution teams.
  • Ensure appropriate channel and segment strategy is in place
  • Lead and ensure effective governance of the business line
  • Actively lead the risk review process
  • Work with relevant cross-functional and global teams to ensure projects are executed to plan
  • Build a culture of empowerment and engagement across the teams
  • Ensure market needs are communicated to the product management and global R&D teams
  • Responsible and accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors acting for and on behalf of the local business line.
  • Monitor and address competitor strategy
  • Play an active role in the local country leadership team and contribute to broader business strategy

Minimum Required Experience

  • Minimum 15+ years industry experience in Automation and/or Robotics
  • Prior P&L leadership experience in an automation company
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or a technical field
  • Ability to travel globally 40%
  • Will consider domestic relocation for fully qualified candidate.

Desired Experience

  • Passion for customers, quality and technology
  • Masters Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of value proposition development
  • Ability to coach, develop, lead and energize an organization
  • Experience of sales management tools usage and deployment, preferably salesforce
