Job Summary
The Part-Time Business Office Assistant supports the Business Office by assisting with student account outreach and payment solutions. This role involves contacting students regarding past-due balances, providing accurate account information, and assisting with payment plans and payment options. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with sensitive financial information while providing excellent customer service.
Job Duties:
Student Account Outreach
โ€ข Contact students via email, phone, or text regarding past-due balances
โ€ข Provide accurate information on account balances, deadlines, and next steps
โ€ข Maintain a professional and respectful tone in all communications
Payment Support and Solutions
โ€ข Assist students with establishing payment plans
โ€ข Explain available payment options
โ€ข Support students in resolving account holds related to unpaid balances
Account Review and Documentation
โ€ข Review student accounts for accuracy and outstanding charges
โ€ข Document collection efforts and student interactions in the system
โ€ข Maintain detailed and organized account records
Reporting and Follow-Up
โ€ข Monitor delinquent accounts and conduct timely follow-up
โ€ข Assist with reporting on collection activity and payment trends
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, collections, accounts receivable, billing, or office administration preferred
