Job Overview

We are looking for an Art Director and Senior Digital Designer who thinks in systems. This role is the connective tissue between creative direction and executional consistency — responsible for building and maintaining the design infrastructure that allows ZAGG and mophie to show up with clarity, quality, and brand integrity across every digital touchpoint.

You'll lead the development of Figma-based design systems, scalable component libraries, and shared creative frameworks used across e-commerce, digital marketing, paid media, retail, and social channels. You bring strong art direction instincts alongside a disciplined, systems-oriented approach — and you understand that a great design system isn't just organized, it's opinionated. This role reports to the Creative Director and works in close collaboration with the broader creative, digital marketing, and e-commerce teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Systems amp; Infrastructure
  • Own and evolve the Figma design system for ZAGG and mophie — including component libraries, type scales, color tokens, spacing systems, grid structures, and usage guidelines
  • Build reusable, scalable templates that enable the creative team to produce consistent, on-brand work at volume across retail, e-commerce, social, and digital channels
  • Establish and maintain shared libraries, auto-layout components, and naming conventions that make the system easy to use and easy to update
  • Document design decisions and system logic so that guidelines are clear, accessible, and actionable for the full team
  • Audit existing assets and templates regularly for brand consistency and system compliance
Art Direction amp; Digital Design
  • Art direct and design for e-commerce touchpoints — PDP layouts, Amazon A+ content, hero modules, feature callouts, and channel-specific retail toolkits
  • Design paid media assets, display advertising, and digital campaign materials that are on-brand and built to perform
  • Develop visual concepts and design directions for digital product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand initiatives
  • Create and maintain retail toolkit assets — including trade channel templates, co-op materials, and sell-in decks — that translate brand standards into CPG channel requirements
  • Translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into finished design that is both intentional and executable
Cross-Team Collaboration amp; Leadership
  • Lead hands-on creative problem-solving within the digital design workflow, helping the team quickly navigate production challenges, prioritize effectively, and adopt scalable practices
  • Partner closely with the Creative Director to define and maintain visual standards across both brands
  • Work with digital marketing, e-commerce, retail, and channel teams to understand channel-specific requirements and translate them into effective design
  • Provide art direction and design feedback to other designers, raising the quality bar and maintaining system consistency across the team
  • Establish healthy, industry-aligned boundaries between design and photography, ensuring designers contribute meaningfully during concepting, pre-production, and review cycles without defaulting to full on-set presence unless project scope requires it
  • Collaborate with the Senior Content Creator and photo/video teams to ensure digital design and content work together cohesively
  • Contribute to creative briefs, mood boards, and concept presentations for campaigns and brand initiatives
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of senior-level design experience in an in-house or agency setting, with a strong focus on digital design and design systems
  • Expert-level Figma skills — you have built and maintained design systems from the ground up, not just used them
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating art direction, digital design, e-commerce design, and systems thinking — work that is both beautiful and scalable
  • Deep experience designing for CPG, consumer electronics, retail, or e-commerce brands
  • Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms, PDP content requirements, and Amazon design standards
