City: Highland City
Type: Part-Time (Up to 1,040 hrs/year โ€ข Non-Exempt)

The Role
Love books, community events, and helping people? Highland City is looking for a creative, customer-focused Library Assistant to keep our library vibrant and organized!
What You'll Do
  • Host Programs: Help prepare and run fun events-from interactive Storytimes (ages 0-5) to engaging Tween/Teen activities (ages 9-17).
  • Help Patrons: Offer awesome customer service in person, on the phone, and online-assisting with book recommendations, accounts, and digital tools.
  • Keep Things Running: Shelve materials, process new items, handle account payments, and maintain a warm, welcoming space.
What You Need
  • High school diploma + 6 months of customer service experience (library experience is a plus!).
  • Age 16+ with a valid driver's license.
  • Comfort with computers (Word, Google Suite, email) and great communication skills.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull book carts up to 200 lbs.
  • Must pass Highland City's standard drug screen and background check.
