Mac Properties is a dynamic and growing private residential real estate company with operations in the metropolitan areas of Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City.
We are urgently hiring a Leasing Intern to join our team in Kansas City, MO! The pay rate for this role is $18/hour.
Job Summary

Under the direction of the Leasing Management Team, the Leasing Intern provides high-level administrative support to our Leasing Consultants by working closely with them to maximize efficiency and minimize distraction, ensuring that the Leasing Consultants stay on schedule for tours, meet lease submission deadlines, and maintain organization. The Leasing Intern will complete administrative tasks for lease submission, apartment key pickups and drop offs, apartment reshows, reschedule tour appointments, and other general administrative duties.  

The ideal candidate has outstanding organizational and time-management skills with strong proficiencies in  Microsoft Office, calendar maintenance, and both written and verbal communication skills. This candidate also thrives on supporting fellow team members and preserving a strong collaborative team culture.                                                                   

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete application screenings in accordance with all National, State, and Local Fair Housing Laws
  • Complete Checkpoint ID verification, and proof of income collection
  • Complete client reshows of apartment communities
  • Complete required paperwork for subsidy applicants
  • Maintain and organize files/correspondence
  • Ensure the prospective leases and subsidy applications are submitted by deadlines
  • Complete apartment key pickups and drop offs
  • Reschedule showing appointments and ensure Senior Consultants’ calendars are up to date without conflicts
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Experience/Training/Education 

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Previous experience using Salesforce or CRM platforms is a plus
  • Team player attitude -strives for excellence, demonstrates flexibility and reliability
  • Excellent listening, verbal/written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail, and highly organized
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
  • Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle required

Physical Requirements

Requires use of telephones and computers. Must be able to walk apartments and grounds including steps and stairs.
