Preschool Business Director – Center Operations Leadership Role
Location: The Learning Experience – Newark, DE
Pay: $40,000–$45,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating Shift Between 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a Business Director to support daily center operations, family engagement, staff coordination, and enrollment activities. This role partners closely with the Center Director to ensure smooth school operations while maintaining a welcoming experience for families and a strong support structure for teachers.
This position is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys leadership responsibilities while balancing administrative coordination and center support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

  •  Support daily center operations and administrative functions 
  •  Partner with leadership to maintain compliance with Delaware licensing requirements 
  •  Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage planning 
  •  Help lead enrollment tours and family onboarding conversations 
  •  Support tuition processing and enrollment documentation accuracy 
  •  Maintain student records and regulatory paperwork 
  •  Provide leadership presence during opening and closing shifts as scheduled 
  •  Help ensure classrooms maintain ratio and operational consistency 
Qualifications

  •  Director qualified under Delaware childcare licensing standards, or close to qualification 
  •  Prior childcare center administrative or leadership experience preferred 
  •  Strong organization and communication skills 
  •  Experience supporting enrollment conversations or family engagement preferred 
  •  Ability to rotate shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM 
  •  Must meet Delaware licensing requirements
