26-27 Miami SCORES Partnerships and Development VISTA
Miami SCORES, Powered by Concacaf, is the 13th and newest chapter of the national nonprofit America SCORES, which was launched in 2024. America SCORES is North America's largest free soccer and literacy program, serving over 15,000 underserved students in Title I public schools across 13 cities through our free program and an official legacy program of the 1994 FIFA World Cup. As an organization, we are committed to inspiring underserved youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We achieve this mission by offering innovative after-school programs that integrates soccer, poetry, and service-learning. Our Partnerships and Development Associate VISTA will play a vital role at Miami SCORES, leading partnership development, communications, and two of our key fundraising events, allowing for long-term sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity for a VISTA to be a part of the beginning of something very special in Miami, building an organization from the ground up, especially someone who loves soccer, poetry, and/or community service, and is excited about the opportunity to learn and see first-hand what goes into launching a new nonprofit. During the year, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with colleagues across the America SCORES network and across the professional soccer landscape (including working out of one of the most well-known soccer organization's offices), while building your partnership building, development, and event planning skillset. If you are someone that is passionate about changing the lives of youth through soccer, creative expression, and/or poetry, and are a self-starter that enjoys working with a team passionate about making a difference in the lives of Miami youth, this role is for you.
Member Duties : The VISTA at Miami SCORES will be part of the 2026-27 Coach Across America cohort of 64 VISTAs. The VISTA placed at Miami SCORES will build the organization's capacity, specifically related to creating community partnerships and increasing revenue generating activities and events through events and corporate partnerships. To name a few things, the Miami SCORES Partnerships and Development Associate VISTA would build capacity by: 1) supporting revenue generation activities that increase our capacity to grow, 2) leveraging partnership mapping to identify long-term program partners, 3) activating a targeted communications and outreach strategy for both volunteer recruitment as well as sharing the story of Miami SCORES' post-World Cup legacy story, and 4) lead the execution of two key corporate fundraising events. There will be regular opportunities to meet program and corporate partners and conduct site visits at our schools throughout Miami.
