Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team. As a Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure project milestones are met.
• Prepare and manage project budgets. Identify and address potential budget overruns and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and negotiate change order requests beyond original scope.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and managing internal resource allocation (procurement, detailing, engineering, production, shipping).
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, submittals, contract documents, change orders, progress reports, and final project deliverables.
Qualifications:
• Understanding of the structural design process, detailing, specification compliance, scheduling, change management, billings and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management and/or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus but not absolutely necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management software tools. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to travel and navigate construction sites as needed. Likely 2-3 times annually.
