Job description

Junior Litigation Associate

Location: Texas (Hybrid, in-office presence required)

Our client is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate to join a high-performing team handling complex commercial litigation and civil tort defense matters. This role is designed for an attorney who wants to be in the work, not observing it, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop case theories and support overall litigation strategy from the outset of each matter
  • Draft and refine pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and dispositive filings, including summary judgment motions
  • Conduct detailed legal research to support case strategy and complex legal arguments across a range of matters
  • Manage core aspects of the discovery process, including drafting requests, reviewing productions, and preparing for depositions
  • Prepare and coordinate fact and expert witnesses for deposition and trial
  • Support trial preparation and contribute to all phases of litigation as matters progress


Candidate Profile

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance
  • Active and in good standing with the Texas Bar (required)
  • 2โ€“4 years of hands-on litigation experience, ideally in complex commercial litigation and/or civil tort defense
  • Experience within a top law firm or strong litigation boutique environment preferred
  • Solid understanding of Texas state and federal court procedures and substantive law
  • Strong writing, analytical, and research skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a demanding environment
  • Professional presence, sound judgment, and a clear interest in high-stakes litigation work
