Job description

Richie & Gueringer, P.C. is an AV Rated firm, celebrating its 31st year as a boutique commercial transaction, litigation and business law firm. We are seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join our team in Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with drafting, proofreading and formatting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including discovery and document review.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, and potentially court appearances.
  • Manage a caseload under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and development.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensuring compliance with all legal and firm procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission and good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including clerkships, internships, or practice experience
