Position Scope

The Level 4 Apprentice is expected to function at a near-Journeyman level and is preparing to obtain a Journeyman Electrician license. This employee can independently complete most electrical installations while mentoring junior apprentices and assisting field supervision.

Location & Travel: This role offers nationwide opportunities based on project needs, with project assignments typically lasting between 4 to 10 months. In addition to your hourly pay, you’ll receive a daily per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment.

Our CE&I Division delivers integrated controls, electrical, and instrumentation solutions for industrial and mission-critical infrastructure projects. From utility interconnects through final terminations, our CE&I Division supports data centers, water and wastewater treatment facilities, natural gas facilities, and industrial process environments with safe, reliable, and execution-focused delivery.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently install complete electrical systems.
  • Plan daily work activities.
  • Read and interpret all project drawings and specifications.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting.
  • Install and terminate switchgear, transformers, motor controls, and distribution equipment.
  • Ensure installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Coordinate inspections and corrections.
  • Lead small crews when assigned.
  • Train and mentor junior apprentices.
  • Assist with project scheduling and material planning.
  • Prepare for Journeyman licensing examination.

Education and Work Experience

  • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess working knowledge including a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Must possess skills and abilities including advanced troubleshooting, time management, quality control, and project coordination
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision and display customer professionalism.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
