ABC Appliance is the parent company of ABC Warehouse, Hawthorne Appliance, and Mickey Shorr. Family owned and operated since 1963, we specialize in household appliances, mattresses, furniture, and home and car electronics. With 650+ employees, we have grown to fifty brick and mortar retail locations in multiple states, including several internet channels.

We are currently seeking a Part-time Entry-Level Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Department at our corporate headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan. As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will work directly with senior-level designer(s) & team to produce marketing content for our family of companies.

Entry-Level Junior Graphic Designer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and production of visual content for digital & print media.
  • Collaborate with senior designers and the team to execute design concepts, ensuring alignment with quality standards and creative guidelines.
  • Work closely with the team to not only produce required content, but also develop new ideas to further brand development and reach.
  • Ensure designs are on-brand and appealing, while also meeting project deadlines
  • Assist in preparing and organizing files for print and digital distribution.
  • Stay up to date with current design trends, technologies, and techniques.

Entry-Level Junior Graphic Designer Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience in the graphic design/communication field is a plus
  • High working proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign
  • Strong portfolio showcasing technical & creative skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines, as well as maintain organization of tasks, and ability to multitask
  • Strong desire to learn and develop not only the company’s creative content, but also your experience and career in the creative industry
