Job Description:
The Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) will report to the Operations Manager and is responsible for actively facilitate communications between the Client's dispatchers, the dispatchers at WeDriveU/National Express and the internal Operations Team to ensure the service is running at top notch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work cross-functional with dispatch to resolve on-the-ground issues
  • Be a liaison between management, dispatch, and drivers
  • Support operations in problem solving
  • Help drivers locate and troubleshoot vehicles
  • Help drivers troubleshoot intermittent software issues
  • Check-in new vehicles and prepare for service
  • Check-out vehicles for retirement
  • Support operations team by maintaining employee and vehicle documentation
  • Distribute documentation to drivers and communicate information down the chain
  • Monitor driver performance KPIs and report findings
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needs to Fleet
  • Co-ordinate vehicle movements and usage
  • Maintain bus hardware and inventory
  • Assist operations and fleet management with monthly and quarterly audits
  • Provide training to drivers (as needed)
  • Support the company policy and procedures and work with operations to enforce yard policy and procedures
  • Support the Operations Manager as needed
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may apply

Skills Required and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Knowledge of Google Suite with intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period
  • Additional skills and physical demands may apply

Education and Qualifications:
Hard requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Operations Management

Preferred requirements:
  • Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)
  • Commercial driver's license (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures
