Job description

Davidson Auto Group is looking for an Internal Operations Assistant! This position is responsible for handling the internal repair orders for our reconditioning department, including opening, writing, and closing repair orders, dispatching internal work to the proper technicians, and communicating with the other departments as needed on the vehicles moving through the shop.

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

(1 shift per week, 10:00am - 7:00pm) and (1 Saturday per month, 09:00am - 5:00pm)

Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000/yr

Responsibilities:

  • Open, write, and close repair orders.
  • Work collaboratively with the other departments on getting internal work accomplished.
  • Dispatch internal work to the appropriate technicians based on need and skill level.
  • Picture all vehicles for online viewing.
  • Stay up to date with the current training, products, and services offered by both Sales and Service.
  • Drive efficiency and production of the department and it's team members.
  • Quality control check vehicles upon completion.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed.

Required Skills:

  • 1+ year(s) experience in a reconditioning or service department.
  • Must be process oriented with an attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team leader with a proven ability to lead.
  • Goal oriented with the ability to follow through.
  • A multi-tasker who can manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships.
  • Empathetic and patient personality.
  • Proficient with technology and navigating various systems.

  • A strong sense of integrity.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience writing repair orders.
  • Previous experience working with DealerTrack or similar DMS software.
