Patient's Choice Laboratories is looking for a motivated and professional Operations Assistant to join our Tempe, Arizona team.In this role, you'll be an important part of our daily operations, providing support to patients, healthcare providers, and clinical teams. You'll use your communication, problem-solving, and technical skills to manage a high volume of inquiries while delivering professional and compassionate service.We're looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, eager to learn, and interested in growing within the healthcare field. If you're a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for helping others, we'd love to hear from you!What You'll DoSupport Patients & Providers: Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming patient and provider inquiries and manage a high volume of inbound calls.Provide Accurate Information: Assist with laboratory-related questions, order status updates, specimen requirements, and general account inquiries.Navigate Multiple Systems: Use various software platforms, databases, and internal resources simultaneously to research and resolve questions efficiently.Document Interactions: Accurately record calls, inquiries, resolutions, and other important information in company systems.Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure timely communication and follow-up.Escalate When Needed: Recognize complex or sensitive issues and appropriately escalate them to management or the appropriate department.Protect Confidential Information: Maintain patient and company confidentiality while following HIPAA requirements, healthcare regulations, and company policies.Contribute to Team Success: Support daily operational needs and assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.What We're Looking ForEducationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree required.Degree in Biomedical Science or a related field preferred.ExperiencePrevious customer service experience required; call center experience is a strong plus.At least 1 year of experience using medical terminology.Previous experience in a laboratory, healthcare, medical office, or related environment is highly preferred.Skills & QualificationsStrong computer skills and the ability to work comfortably across multiple software platforms.Ability to type at least 40 WPM while actively speaking with a caller.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to quickly learn and retain complex medical and laboratory information.Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.Professional, empathetic, and positive approach to customer service.Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.What We OfferAt Patient's Choice Laboratories, we believe in supporting our employees as they support our patients and clients.
