About the job Merchandising Specialist (HQ Operations/K-Beauty)

Key Responsibilities
K-Beauty Portfolio Management

  • Develop and manage relationships with Korean beauty brands in Korea and the U.S.
  • Execute localized merchandising strategies while maintaining global brand standards
  • Register and launch new products, ensuring accurate system updates and internal communications
  • Manage ordering cycles, SHD (Stock Handling & Distribution), and product availability
  • Monitor and grow brand portfolios and pipelines
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to execute successful launches and campaigns
  • Analyze sales and customer data to optimize product assortment
  • Report merchandising performance and initiatives to senior leadership and HQ HQ Operations & Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Act as liaison between HQ in Korea and U.S. local teams
  • Oversee contract negotiation and documentation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including MOCRA and other local standards
  • Develop inbound logistics processes in partnership with HQ and warehouse teams
  • Support local e-commerce development (screen development, pricing, etc.)
  • Manage onboarding of new brands in collaboration with Global Cross-Border Ecommerce teams Market Research & Trend Analysis
  • Conduct competitive analysis, identify emerging beauty trends, and gather customer insights
  • Apply findings to refine merchandising strategy and product selection

Qualifications
Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, retail buying, or a related field
  • Proven experience working with Korean beauty brands or suppliers
  • Strong understanding of product planning, inventory management, and global supply chain
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, merchandising tools, and advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in cross-cultural environments
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across countries and departments

Preferred:

  • Experience in the beauty or skincare industry
  • Bilingual in English and Korean
  • Strong analytical and trend forecasting skills
