Position Overview

The Development Manager (Integrations) plays a critical leadership role in delivering scalable, reliable, and wellgoverned integration and platform capabilities that support enterprise and marketlevel solutions. This role balances people leadership, technical oversight, and crossfunctional collaboration, with a strong focus on integration strategy, composable solution enablement, and modern DevOps and system engineering practices.

The position is responsible for providing architectural direction and development leadership across integration services and related platforms, while also serving as a primary liaison between corporate technology stakeholders and regional or product teams. By translating enterpriselevel integration strategies into actionable, marketready solutions, the Development Manager ensures consistency, reuse, and operational excellence without sacrificing flexibility or speed.

In addition to integration leadership, this role supports composable solution development and oversees DevOps and system engineering capabilities, ensuring solutions are built, deployed, and operated using modern CI/CD practices, automation, and secure, resilient infrastructure. The Development Manager reinforces engineering standards, mentors technical staff, and fosters collaboration across teams to deliver highquality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

 

Integration Leadership & Enterprise Alignment

  • Serve as a primary technical liaison between corporate technology teams and development organizations to align on integration patterns, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Provide architectural and design oversight for APIdriven and servicebased integrations across internal and external systems.
  • Translate enterprise integration strategies into practical implementation guidance for product and market teams.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering leaders to ensure integration approaches are scalable, secure, and reusable.
  • Identify integration dependencies, risks, and technical debt, and partner with stakeholders to prioritize remediation.
  • Promote consistent documentation, governance, and review practices for integration designs and implementations. 

Composable Solution Enablement

  • Support the design and evolution of composable, modular solutions that leverage shared services and integration capabilities.
  • Guide teams on best practices for building loosely coupled components that can be independently deployed and reused.
  • Partner with product and solution leaders to ensure composable solutions align with functional, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Provide technical consultation on complex solution designs that span multiple systems, platforms, or services.
  • Encourage adoption of common frameworks, patterns, and tools to improve development efficiency and solution consistency. 

DevOps & System Engineering Support

  • Provide leadership and oversight for DevOps and system engineering practices supporting development and integration platforms.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure practices support reliable delivery, scalability, and operational stability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve deployment processes, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Promote infrastructureascode, automated testing, and secure delivery practices across supported solutions.
  • Support production operations by helping teams identify root causes, improve resilience, and reduce operational friction.

People Leadership & Development

  • Provide direct supervisory management, mentoring, and career development for developers, system engineers, and related technical roles.
  • Establish clear goals, expectations, and performance feedback for direct reports.
  • Identify skill gaps and training opportunities to strengthen integration, platform, and DevOps capabilities.
  • Ensure team members are effectively assigned to meaningful, highimpact work.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and project teams to ensure successful planning, estimation, and delivery of initiatives.
  • Provide feasibility assessments and highlevel estimates to support roadmap and investment decisions.
  • Assist in removing technical and organizational impediments that impact delivery.
  • Contribute to longterm technology and platform roadmaps in alignment with business strategy.

Required Skills / Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience (or equivalent), including 2+ years of people management or sustained team leadership experience.
  • Experience providing direct people leadership and performance coaching, or equivalent accountability leading engineers (e.g., as a technical/team lead) in an Agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of architectural patterns
  • Well versed with hands-on knowledge of multiple computer languages and frameworks
  • Both thick and thin client application design and development
  • Enterprise Development and Integration (B2B, B2C)
  • Tablet/Mobile Device application design and development
  • Logical Database Design and knowledge of physical implications
  • Working knowledge of image processing, large data handling, and file formats
  • Demonstrate expertise in architecture, design, and developing software in at least two technology stacks as appropriate for the team assignment (or equivalent deep understanding of a single stack).  Our technology stacks cover:
  • Windows server technology stack
    • Web technology stack
    • Mobile technology stack (currently must also have Windows and/or web technology experience)
    • Database and analytics technology stack
    • Desktop technology stack
