About M7 Health
M7 Health is the AI-powered workforce operations platform for healthcare, designed for the realities of clinical staffing and scheduling. We use AI to help organizations forecast demand, auto-balance schedules, and deploy the right person to fill every shift before resorting to premium labor spend. The result: health systems reduce overtime, cut contract labor costs, and give clinical leaders time back to focus on care. Built with the earned wisdom of nurses, M7 serves tens of thousands of healthcare professionals daily and activated over 100 net new hospitals across 29 states, last year alone.
M7 recently raised a $10M Series A, backed by Threshold and First Round Capital, and we're building the team to match our ambition.
About The Role
We're looking for an Implementation Engineer to join our team. You will own the end-to-end integration process with health system customers across the full stack of systems M7 connects to: time and attendance platforms (UKG / Kronos), HRIS systems (Workday, ADP), and EMR platforms (Epic).
This is a technically rigorous, externally-facing role for someone who can navigate a codebase, debug integrations across multiple platforms, and run a credible discovery call with a health system IT team in the same day. What defines this role is breadth across the health system integration landscape - paired with the discipline to drive complex deployments to completion across multiple customer environments simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
  • Customer-Facing Integration
    • Own the end-to-end integration configuration process with health system customers, from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support
    • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for active integration implementations
    • Run discovery conversations with health system IT teams to understand technical environments, data formats, and constraints
    • Build and maintain a repeatable framework for scoping and onboarding M7's integrations at new customer sites, including intake templates, requirements docs, and technical checklists
  • Commercial Support
    • Serve as the technical integration expert in prospect conversations, RFP responses, and integration-focused discovery calls
    • Credibly answer how M7's time and attendance, HRIS, and EHR integrations actually work in a room with a health system IT director
  • Technical Deployment and Reliability
    • Debug integration failures, trace data issues, and diagnose incidents; escalate to engineering with clear reproduction steps and log context
    • Navigate the codebase to understand integration logic; use SQL, Datadog, and AWS CloudWatch to investigate reported issues
    • Own customer-facing communication through resolution
  • Product and Process Contribution
    • Surface patterns from customer engagements that should inform the integrations roadmap
    • Partner with the integrations team to QA new features before deployment to existing customers
    • Document integration configurations, known issues, and deployment guides to broaden M7's institutional knowledge
About You:
  • Integration Owner: You have 3+ years of experience in technical implementation, integrations engineering, or forward-deployed technical roles, with hands-on ownership of multi-system deployments at health systems or healthcare SaaS companies.
  • Technically Deep: You are comfortable navigating a production codebase, proficient in SQL, and experienced tracing logs in Datadog or AWS CloudWatch. You can deploy and configure integrations without a dedicated engineer supporting every task.
  • Health IT Fluent: You have hands-on experience with UKG/Kronos and familiarity with API-based integration patterns across WFM, HRIS (Workday, ADP), and EMR (Epic) platforms. UKG/Kronos experience is a strong differentiator.
  • Customer-Facing and Credible: You can run technical discovery sessions with health system IT teams and translate complex requirements into clean specs. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Structured and Accountable: You track open items across multiple customer engagements, communicate status proactively, and drive to closure without being chased.
  • Attitude and Culture: You are aligned with M7's values: you act with urgency, bring relentless curiosity, lead with kindness, and hold yourself to a high standard of craft. You're passionate about the mission of making health systems stronger and show it every day.
Nice to Haves:
  • Background at a healthcare SaaS company or health system IT environment - candidates with direct exposure to how large hospital networks manage integrations across WFM, HRIS, and EMR systems are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Venture-backed startup experience - candidates comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with limited structure are especially compelling.
Hybrid Environment
This is a role based in New York City. We believe a regular cadence of in-person collaboration accelerates learning, reinforces team culture, and drives efficiency for early-stage companies. We have an office in Manhattan and expect this role to be in-office two days per week.
Please note that M7 is unable to sponsor or transfer H1B visas at this time. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers industry-competitive compensation, including cash compensation, equity, and healthcare benefits.
Equal Opportunity Employer
At M7 Health, we aim to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to a better environment for our people and a better product for our clients. M7 Health is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages all applicants from every background and life experience to apply.
