YOUR ROLE  

  
The Implementation Engineer will support the implementations of new clients and new facilities in CEVA Contract Logistics network.  The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining layouts, ensuring facilities readiness actions are completed, tracking capital investments, and implementing CEVA LEAN and Continuous Improvement Engineering standards.  The Engineer will collaborate with the Implementation project team and local Operations & Facilities teams to ensure all actions are completed on-time and in budget.  

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?  
  

  • Support site setup, facility outfitting, layout execution and process optimization activities in the fulfillment center.  

  • Collaborate with Solution Design and local Operations & Facilities teams to define facility layouts & racking elevations changes.   

  • Maintain AutoCAD layouts.   

  • Implement CEVA standards related to LEAN, Continuous Improvement, Tier Boards, and KPIs.  

  • Partner with the Operations team to propose process optimization projects improve efficiency, safety, & quality, ensure successful execution of projects    

  • Observe operations and ensure Work Instructions are adhered to and reflective of the actual process.  

  • Partner with Project Management and Procurement to ensure equipment and supplies are ordered, tracked, delivered, and implemented on-time and on budget..   

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?   

 Education and Experience:   

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field of study  

  • Minimum 3 years Logistics & Distribution experience designing, implementing, or launching new facilities and solutions   

  • 3PL or like experience preferred.   

  • E-commerce and Omni channel fulfilment experience.    

  • Six Sigma and LEAN certifications a plus.  

 Skills:   

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Data Analysis, process mapping tools, Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.  Knowledge of WMS functionality.   

  • Experience in warehouse automation applications  

     Characteristics:   

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated history of developing relationships and building trust, ability to work independently & in a team environment.   

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solutions.
