Your Role on the Team
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with coordination and logistics for undergraduate housing move-out and move-in, including supplies preparation, scheduling, and operational support.
  • Manage housing assignment updates, resident record adjustments, and key preparation for communities including Mesa Court, Middle Earth, or Arroyo Vista.
  • Provide front desk coverage as needed, assisting students, staff, and visitors with housing-related questions and services.
  • Maintain organized records and office procedures while supporting multiple projects and collaborating closely with student and professional staff teams.

What It Takes to be Successful
Required:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse students, staff, faculty, and campus visitors.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint, with the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
  • Ability to independently manage detailed tasks, maintain confidentiality, and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and administrative support skills, including maintaining electronic and hard copy files.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred:
  • Previous experience supporting housing operations, student services, or front desk/customer service environments.
  • Familiarity with office procedures, project coordination, and scheduling logistics for large-scale operations or events.
  • Experience using TRS or similar timekeeping systems for timesheet management.
  • Knowledge of FERPA, data security practices, and workplace compliance training requirements.

Temporary Employment
This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements. Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.
The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
