POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Housing Representative supports the mission-driven work of the YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park Center, which serves approximately 150,000 guests annually. This position is responsible for ensuring that all staff members have a welcoming, clean, and supportive living environment. Staff Housing Representatives live in staff housing, build positive relationships with residents, and promote community engagement and well-being among staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Live in staff housing providing a positive, supportive, safe presence and creating a clean and desirable environment for all.
  • Create positive, unbiased, and professional relationships and act as an advocate in housing for

staff and volunteers
  • Staff housing team members are expected to work mid-day and evening shifts.
  • Be present on staff and volunteer arrivals days to welcome staff into their living facilities and be

available for questions.
  • Report after-hours noise issues or other housing-related situations to the Housing Facilities

Manager.
  • Assist in and ensure the consistent cleanliness of hallways, kitchens, central bathrooms, lobbies,

common area windows and doors, stocked storage and linen closets, and the preparation of
vacated rooms for future staff arrival.
  • Assist Housing Facilities Manager in posting information and other staff communications and

removing outdated information. Keeping information hubs orderly and appealing.
  • Assist in the weekly removal of donated staff items
  • Maintaining and assisting with the staff and volunteers lost in found.Assist in maintaining the

grounds around staff housing, including trash pickup, safe egress, and snow removal on stairs,
sidewalks,and decks.
  • Perform minimal repairs/replacements (light bulb changes, toilet seat replacement, paint touch-up,

etc.) and report more significant repair needs and hazards to Housing Facilities Manager.
  • Hold weekly housing meetings alongside the Housing Facilities Manager, ensuring open and

transparent communication with staff and volunteers.
  • Follow the team expectations checklist.
  • Work with Human Resources software as needed
  • Participate in an assigned on-call rotation schedule to respond to housing-related concerns and support a safe and respectful living environment.

  • Possess a valid, USA state-issued driver license and an acceptable driving record, and follow YMCA

driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Staff Housing Team Members represent the Human Resources Office. They are expected to behave professionally, dress appropriately for the job and the weather, wear clean and freshly laundered clothes, and wear uniforms if needed. In addition, Staff Housing Team Members must have the following:

  • Work involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and light physical labor such as cleaning, organizing, and performing minor repairs.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 40 lbs. (e.g., supplies, linens, equipment).
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including snow and cold temperatures at high elevation.
  • Requires flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be comfortable engaging with diverse staff and volunteers in a community living environment.
