Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Operations to lead our operations team. You will play a pivotal role in determining our operations growth strategy and leading a growing team to execute that strategy. 

This role requires U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residence. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and Scale Operations: Plan, budget, and efficiently scale the company's operations across human resources, recruiting, facilities, office administration, and security teams.
  • Drive Cross-functional Efficiency: Optimize operational processes across departments to ensure smooth and secure operations, with a focus on supporting the company's rapid growth and security requirements.
  • Build High-Performing Teams: Oversee recruitment and development of world-class teams, fostering a culture of leadership, accountability, and collaboration across all teams.
  • Scale Office and Facility Management: Manage and optimize physical office spaces to accommodate growth, including overseeing facility expansion and operationalization and sustainment of secure facilities, ensuring the physical security of offices and adherence to industry security standards.
  • Ensure Compliance and Security: Lead initiatives to meet security requirements and compliance with defense-related regulations, working closely with legal, HR, and security teams to ensure a safe, compliant work environment in line with government standards and client expectations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Implement and enhance tools for tracking operational metrics across HR, recruiting, and facilities to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement of operations.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the executive team to align operational strategy with the company's growth goals and product development, ensuring the operational backbone supports both employee and customer growth.

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in business operations, ideally within the defense or technology industries.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations within a fast-growing start-up, including managing multi-location facilities and growing employee headcount rapidly.
  • Strong understanding of defense-related security requirements and regulations, with experience in creating a compliant and secure operational environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to build and lead diverse, cross-functional teams, and create alignment across departments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to maintain productive relationships with internal teams, senior leadership, and external partners or regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in driving operational efficiency and using data to inform process improvements and scalability.

Salary Range

  • The estimated base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000/year
