Job Title: Director of Operations


Salary range: $180K - $200K

Bonus: 10% - management incentive program based on financial, safety, and overall performance. It’s funded based on actual overall and business unit performance and is usually paid in March or April of the following year.

Location of job: New Orleans, LA

A Director of Operations responsible for overseeing and coordinating operational activities for an electric utility resiliency program. Ensuring the efficient execution of projects, optimizing resource utilization, and upholding the commitment to safety and quality across all operational activities.


Required:

  • Progressive leadership experience with a Power Utility Contract organization (foreman/general foreman/superintendent/operations manager) or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with progressive leadership positions with an Investor-Owned Utility (IOU).
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in operations management within the electric utility industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing the day-to-day operations of distribution crews with a focus on managing General Foreman level and above.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale utility projects.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations, including transmission, substation, and distribution systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
  • Strong computer skills with extensive experience in Microsoft products


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate operational activities for a Resiliency Program in Louisianna, New Orleans, and Texas.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution from inception to completion.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to minimize project disruptions and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project teams to foster professional growth and development.
  • Work with Fleet and Safety Departments to ensure policies are in place and monitor compliance.
  • Track company revenue, margins and monthly budget reviews.
  • Assist on project estimates for OH/UG Distribution.
  • Assist with bid reviews with upper management when applicable.
  • Work with finance on company budget and growth strategies.
