We are hiring for:
Group Home Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations, staffing and budget of facilities assigned. Seek to understand individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard.
$22.00-$22.50 per hour
REPORTS TO:
IDD Group Homes Program Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supervises Group Home Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations, staffing and budget of facilities assigned.
o Interviews and hires Direct Support Professionals
o Prepares employee schedules ensuring that there is adequate staffing coverage at all times.
o Performs all personal care duties that Direct Support perform, such as personal hygiene tasks, meal preparation and goal implementation.
o Spends adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees clients while serving as a positive role model.
o Seeks to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future.
o Resolves employee issues and conducts performance reviews
o Ensures employees meet training requirements and attend required events
o Monitors select budget items staying within guidelines
o Monitors and provides feedback to employees during all three shifts in interactions and relationships with the people supported
o Provides after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
o Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
o A high school diploma or equivalent
o One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
o Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
o CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus
o Must be qualified as a Habilitation Technician II (med certified) or eligible to be so designated at the first available training after accepting the position.
o Must be at least 18 years of age
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
o Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 20 lbs. and occasionally pull at least 40 lbs.
o Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as part of regular job duties.
o Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
o Required to stand and walk for extended periods.
o Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level, which requires working on hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
o Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
o Must be able to talk and hear.
Exception - Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs: For these programs only, employees must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). The requirement to talk and hear does not apply.
