Job description

OVERVIEW 

Within the Product Development team, and with a view to potentially expanding the company's product portfolio, the successful candidate will be responsible for actively proposing, designing, and evaluating the best technical solutions for new products to be introduced into the catalog, potentially in coordination with the international Research and Development function of the parent group. This role aims to contribute to the growth and evolution of the company through the design and development of cutting-edge products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead product development projects, with special focus on customs

• Provide technical expertise and oversee the implementation of complex projects

• Work closely with the AMERICAS Regional Project Manager and Research and Development Manager to align development goals with corporate strategies.

• Display creative thinking in applying principles, theories, and concepts on a wide range of problems.

• Utilize engineering principles to resolve difficult problems.

• Utilizes exemplary listening skills with customers and prospects.

• Communicate solutions through internal and external presentations. 

• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s and or master’s degree mechanical engineering 

• At least five (5) years’ experience 

• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

• Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of mechanical carpentry production processes (bending, laser cutting, welding)

• Knowledge of industrial mechanical production processes (sheet metal and plastic stamping)

• Ability to read and understand technical drawing and mechanical design

• Ability to verify dimensions using Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations

• Knowledge of control and automation systems

• Knowledge of Pneumatic Systems and Industrial Applications

Language Skills 

• English 

Computer Skills: 

• Excellent Autocad, Inventor 3D

• Use of MS Office 365

• Personnel Management and Payroll Systems
