Job description

Job Summary
The Front Desk Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all of our patients and visitors. Along with providing exceptional customer service, this position will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks as well as ensuring the aesthetic in the lobby remains clean and welcoming.
*Must be willing to travel to Berwick and Sugarloaf for set days each week. 24-26 hours/week.
Essential Functions:
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or individual, including patient messages
  • Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members within the EMR software including processing of referrals and pre-certification of procedures
  • Assist with filing, transcribing, and organizing documents
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, scanning, and photocopying
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Coordinate office events and assist with event planning
  • Collect copays and other payments as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required
  • 1-3 years of relevant medical / surgical practice experience
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Experience with practice management software (ie EMA) and Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds at times.
