Advertising Summary: Thank you for your interest in joining Accounts Payable. The Fiscal Assistant Senior positions supports the team in payment processing and reviewing for compliance with NMSU policy and procedures. Assisting departments with payment exceptions and resolutions.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
Contingent Upon Funding: Not Applicable
Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)
If Not a Standard Work Schedule:
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the review and entry of NMSU disbursement transaction information. The review includes system transactions entered by NMSU customers and review of payment request forms (Direct Pays, Payment Requests, Travel and Expense Reports, Travel Advances and other related forms). May require problem solving or reconciliation of accounts. Review and resolve exceptions generated in the Administrative systems. Provide support for researching issues, problem resolution and working with customers to complete corrections.

Required Education and Experience:High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
