Job description

Finishing Supervisor

A company in Knox is looking for  a dependable and experienced Finishing Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our finishing production areas. This position will supervise approximately 20–30 employees across three departments: Paint, Sanding, and Chair Assembly.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, bilingual English/Spanish leader with previous experience in manufacturing finishing, including painting. This individual must be able to communicate effectively with both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking employees, manage production flow, and maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Job Summary
The Finishing Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production activities within the finishing departments while ensuring quality standards, productivity goals, and safety expectations are consistently met. This role will support team development, maintain workflow efficiency, and serve as a key point of communication between employees and management.
Job Duties
  • Supervise daily operations in Paint, Sanding, and Chair Assembly departments
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of 20–30 employees
  • Monitor production flow and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Train employees on proper finishing techniques, safety procedures, and company expectations
  • Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and resolving production issues
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe
  • Communicate effectively with employees and leadership in both English and Spanish
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a positive team environment
Pay
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Experience or Skill Requirements
  • Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing or finishing production required
  • Experience with furniture finishing, painting, sanding, or woodworking preferred
  • Bilingual required (English and Spanish)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and production priorities
  • Knowledge of finishing processes, safety standards, and quality control
